About this book

What happens when saving someone you love means testing the duty that binds you?

In The Admiral's Daughter, Margaret Stuart Lane brings together historical adventure, personal love, and the pressure of duty. At its heart is a heroine caught between family obligations and the effort to protect someone dear. Private feelings meet public danger, and loyalty becomes more than a promise: it is something that must hold when a life is at stake.

Ships, harbours, and the discipline of naval life give this sea-minded adventure its setting. Letters, ranks, and old codes of honour shape the pressures of the past. Against that background, a heroine's family obligations and personal love pull in different directions. The fight to protect someone dear brings those larger demands close to the heart.
