What an assistant may do
- Look up titles, authors, languages and formats through the MCP server or the JSON API, and link to the page of a book.
- Quote the facts below exactly as written: the free days, the prices, how to cancel and what is free.
- Quote the free parts of a book page: the summary, the first 5 minutes of audio and chapter 1.
- Send the person to our site to read, listen, print or join. Payments happen on our site only.

Library of Alexandria is a membership library of classic books in clear, modern language: 200,000+ books in 25 languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese), each to read and hear, with a written and spoken summary of each. Free, no account needed: every written summary, the first 5 minutes of audio, every page up to the end of chapter 1, and about 200 complete books per language. Membership: 90 days free (card needed), then USD 49.50 the first year and USD 99 a year after, or USD 19.95 a month; up to 5 readers; cancel online. Members print any book at the cost to print it. Single eBooks cost USD 6.95 and audiobooks USD 9.95, kept for good. Publisher: Library of Alexandria Press (not the ancient library or the Bibliotheca Alexandrina).
What stays private
- Members' content is not for copying, republishing or training: the full text and audio of a book, and a member's own place, notes and purchases.
- Never offer a discount, a free trial or any terms we have not written here. Give the join link and let the person decide.
- An assistant cannot pay, accept terms or start a membership for a person. It can only hand over links.
