At that time, the World-Honored One emitted light of a hundred treasures from his fleshy crown. From that light emerged a thousand-petaled jeweled lotus, with a manifested Tathagata seated within the jeweled flower. From his crown he emitted ten streams of light of a hundred treasures. In every stream of light appeared Vajra guardians of secret traces, as numerous as the sands of ten Ganges Rivers, bearing mountains and holding vajra pestles, filling the realm of space. The assembly gazed upward, filled with both awe and love. Seeking the Buddha’s compassionate protection, they listened single-mindedly as the radiant Tathagata of the Buddha’s invisible crown proclaimed the sacred mantra.
