About this book

What links missing eyebrows, kidnappers, counterfeiters, and the secrets of a haunted house?

In Stephen Rudd’s The Mystery of the Missing Eyebrows, a young detective faces a strange puzzle and refuses to let it go. Kidnappers and counterfeiters bring danger into the case. Curiosity matters, but so does nerve when a mystery involves people who may be in trouble.

The haunted house adds secrets to an adventure built around sharp eyes and quick thinking. This children’s mystery draws on the young detective tradition, where ordinary places can hide something strange. The pull is in the puzzle: what deserves a closer look, and how can a young person make sense of it?

What you’ll discover

  • A puzzle worth pursuing Follow a young detective who meets a strange mystery and will not leave it alone.
  • Danger behind the clues Kidnappers and counterfeiters give the investigation an urgent edge beyond the puzzle itself.

  • Curiosity backed by nerve Meet the appeal of a young hero who brings sharp eyes to danger and puzzles.
