The Lord rests on my head like a crown, and I shall never be without him. They wove for me a crown of truth, and it caused your branches to bud in me. For it is not like a withered crown that puts forth no blossoms: you are alive upon my head, and you have blossomed there. Chapter 3

I put on love, and his members are with him. I stand upon them, and he loves me — for I could not have known how to love the Lord if he had not loved me first. Who can understand love except the one who is loved? I love the Beloved, and my soul loves him. Where he rests, there I am also. I shall be a stranger no longer, for with the Lord Most High and Merciful there is no withholding.

I have been united to him, for the Lover has found the Beloved. Because I love him who is the Son, I shall become a son. Whoever is joined to the Immortal will himself become immortal, and whoever delights in the Living One will himself become alive.
