About this book

What can a small physical fact reveal about a woman at the centre of a mystery?

Angelina Frood stands at the heart of a puzzle: who is she, and what does her presence mean for those near her? In R. Austin Freeman’s The Mystery of Angelina Frood, Dr. John Thorndyke brings the knowledge of a London doctor and barrister to questions of crime and evidence.

Thorndyke notices physical details that others overlook. His friend Dr. Jervis helps you follow the reasoning, while Polton supplies skilled laboratory work. Around them lies a London of lawyers, chambers, courts and consulting rooms. The invitation is simple: watch closely, weigh the clues, and test your judgment beside the detective.
