Who Tiny Tim is
Tiny Tim is a frail boy whose cheerfulness stands beside the poverty of the Cratchit household. He walks with a crutch and wears a frame on his leg.
The Ghost of Christmas Present brings Scrooge to the family's small, shabby house. There, Tim's family gathers around a goose that must feed them all.
Tiny Tim and the others in the story
Tim's father, Bob Cratchit, works as Scrooge's poorly paid clerk and keeps his good humor. The family has little money, but Tim brings joy to their Christmas gathering.
Scrooge watches the boy and, to his own surprise, asks whether Tim will live. The spirit answers with Scrooge's own cold words about poor people, making him hang his head.
A best-known line
“God bless us, every one!”
