Effective October 15, 2026. This page describes Alexandria Audiobook Narrator, an internal publishing tool operated by Library of Alexandria Press LLC. It supplements, and does not replace or change, our store Privacy Policy or store Terms of Service.
The app helps authorized channel owners and their approved operators prepare and upload original videos, manage titles, descriptions, thumbnails and captions, check processing status, and set and verify publication schedules. It uses YouTube API Services. It is an operator-run tool, not a public customer login, a video-download service, or a tool that grants website visitors access to a channel. Access to the tool or an audit demonstration is arranged with the operator at support@libraryofalexandria.com; do not send passwords, authorization codes, or access tokens.
Channel access is authorized through Google's OAuth consent flow. The requested YouTube-management permission allows management of channel content; the app performs only operations authorized by the channel owner. The current publishing workflow handles channel identifiers and names; video identifiers, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, language, visibility and scheduled publication times; caption text and track identifiers; processing results; and operational logs and verification records. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored so authorized work can continue without repeatedly asking the owner to sign in. The app does not ask for or store a user's Google password.
We use this information to carry out the owner's publishing instructions, prepare accessible captions, verify the intended channel and release settings, avoid duplicate uploads, recover interrupted operations, and diagnose errors. Access is limited to the authorizing owner, expressly approved operators, and service providers needed to perform these functions. Google and YouTube receive API requests and uploaded content. Operational records and authorized content are held on operator-controlled computers and Google Cloud infrastructure.
Independently supplied source recordings may be sent to OpenAI for speech transcription and caption quality checks as part of the approved production workflow. That source-media processing is separate from Google account authorization. We do not send OAuth credentials to transcription services. We do not sell YouTube API Data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it to train artificial-intelligence models. Ordinary website browsing and store purchases remain covered by the store Privacy Policy, including its cookie and service-provider disclosures.
OAuth credentials are kept in access-restricted credential files rather than public pages or release reports. API communications use HTTPS, and remote operational transfers use authenticated SSH. We retain operational information only for the authorized workflow and necessary troubleshooting. Applicable YouTube API Data must be refreshed or deleted within the periods required by YouTube's policies, including the applicable 30-day refresh or deletion requirement. Independently created source manuscripts, recordings and artwork are distinct from API Data and may be retained as the owner's production assets.
Data requests are handled by the operator; this page does not claim that an automated deletion service is available. Requests to delete authorized data are processed as soon as possible and within the applicable YouTube deadline. Revocation through the app's operator requires deletion of the associated authorized data within seven calendar days. Revocation through Google's security settings also requires deletion of associated API Data within the applicable deadline, no later than 30 calendar days. Retention is not indefinite, and these procedures must be applied to operational copies and relevant backups as well as the active workspace.
You can revoke the app's access at any time through your Google account permissions. You can also contact support@libraryofalexandria.com with the subject “Narrator App Data Request” to request disconnection, deletion, access or correction, or to raise a privacy question. Include the relevant channel URL and enough information to verify authority, but never send passwords, login codes or tokens. Revocation ends API access; it does not automatically remove videos already uploaded to YouTube. Published-content changes or deletion require separate owner instructions and can also be managed directly in YouTube Studio.
Only channel owners and expressly authorized operators may use this tool. They must have the necessary rights to submitted content and approve the intended uploads, settings and publication schedule. By using this API client, users agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Use must also comply with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies.
The app must not be used to evade quotas or access controls, share another person's credentials, or publish unauthorized material. YouTube controls quota allocation, processing, monetization decisions and account availability; using this app does not guarantee approval, revenue, or a particular completion time. Material changes to the app's data practices will be reflected here, and renewed consent will be obtained when required before a new use of authorized data.
