Când se rostește în rugăciune
In the Catholic tradition, the Magnificat is sung or recited at Evening Prayer in the Liturgy of the Hours. Many Catholics also pray it privately as an expression of gratitude and trust in God's mercy.
De unde provine
The Magnificat comes from the Gospel of Luke, where Mary praises God during her visit to Elizabeth. Its name comes from the opening word of the Latin text, meaning “magnifies.” Alongside the Te Deum and Benedictus, it holds an important place in Catholic liturgical prayer.
