When armed Templars appear, the physician forces him into a swift escape, then brings him to a familiar spring and gives him a narcotic that leads to sleep.

  6. At the Diamond of the Desert, Kenneth accepts a medicinal draught and sinks through hopeful visions into deep sleep.
