Jesus the Christ, Chapter 5 — streszczenie

Chapter 5 z 41 · chapter — czas czytania: 13 min

In Chapter 5, the account gathers prophecies about Jesus Christ from ancient Israel and the Book of Mormon, presenting his birth, ministry, death, and resurrection as events announced beforehand. It argues that agreement across these witnesses and the fulfillment of their predictions establish his divine identity and his role in human redemption.

Co się wydarza

  1. Israel expects a Messiah, and its sacred writings preserve promises concerning his arrival.
  2. Adam receives an explanation of sacrifice, while ancestral promises and Mosaic rites point toward the Redeemer.
  3. Prophets describe Christ’s birth, rule, suffering, death, and resurrection, and Jesus confirms their testimony about himself.
  4. John the Baptist identifies Jesus as the promised Son of God.
  5. Lehi, Nephi, and other prophets in the Nephite record announce Christ’s ministry, while Samuel describes signs of his birth.
  6. The chapter concludes that fulfilled predictions establish the divine source of prophecy and Christ’s divinity.
