줄거리

1. After three weeks of illness, Ellen notices Catherine’s impatience and discovers her returning secretly on her pony.
2. Catherine explains how she gives Michael books and pictures to help arrange her evening rides to Wuthering Heights.
3. She describes happy moments with Linton, but also arguments over their different pleasures and his difficult temper.
4. Catherine mocks Hareton’s reading; he angrily ejects the cousins, and Linton collapses while coughing blood.
5. After further quarrels, Linton describes his father’s contempt, and Catherine forgives him and continues visiting.
