금성에서 길을 잃다 in short
Lost on Venus is the tale of a man who will not accept that his last second has arrived. Carson Napier escapes a death chamber, rescues Duare, and crosses forests, cliffs and rivers with her. Then he loses her and finds new friends, enters a city that tests every human being, and follows a tunnel into the lair of a ruler who plays with death.
What 금성에서 길을 잃다 is about
What would you do if you woke in a round room with seven identical doors, six of them leading to a horrible death, while a hungry beast roars behind one? That is where Carson Napier finds himself in Lost on Venus, and the book never lets him rest for long.
Edgar Rice Burroughs, who also created Tarzan and John Carter, wrote this second tale of Venus, which its inhabitants call Amtor. Carson, an American who crossed space in a rocket, loves Duare, the daughter of a king. You get cannibals, giant lizards, a mad ruler who raises the dead, and a gleaming city that breeds its people. And Duare says she loves Carson, then takes it back.
이런 분께 적합해요. You will enjoy this if you like planetary adventure, daring escapes, strange creatures and imagined cities. It suits listeners who like a hero who thinks fast and a story that keeps moving.

Seven doors and only one way out
Carson begins the story as a prisoner. The Thorists have captured him, and an officer named Sov promises a death far worse than the sword. Carson is nearly spent after a storm, a swim and a fight with beast-men. He does not even know if Duare reached safety.
That death is the room of the seven doors. A table holds seven dishes and seven cups, nearly all poisoned. Behind six doors lie spikes, flames, deadly r-rays, acid, a starving tharban and walls that creep together. Only one door leads to life. A noose hangs over the table, set too high for a quick death.
Then the lights go out, and the floor turns. Carson loses the door he had memorized. A twenty-foot serpent rises and glides toward him. He jams a door open with a spiked chair and meets the tharban. The beast and the serpent fight each other, and that buys him a few seconds.
When the serpent turns on him, he climbs the noose to a beam in the dark. Hope can hide inside the very thing built to break you.
