줄거리

1. During a fortnight at Nikolsköe, the household routine continues while Bazarov becomes irritable and Arkady grows melancholy.
2. Arkady believes he loves Madame Odintsov, but enjoys Katia's company and spends less time with Bazarov.
3. Bazarov privately recognizes romantic feelings that contradict his beliefs and tries unsuccessfully to escape them.
4. Timotheitch visits, reminds Bazarov that his parents miss him, and receives his promise to come home soon.
