Candide, Chapter 25 요약

30의 Chapter 25 · chapter 읽는 데 7분

In Chapter 25, Candide and Martin visit Pococurante, a wealthy Venetian who dismisses his paintings, music, books, and garden despite their apparent excellence. Candide mistakes this dissatisfaction for happiness, while Martin challenges him; as Cacambo remains absent, Candide’s hope of happiness with Cunegonde gives way to grief.
