3. Gu Dasao carries an incomplete rescue message into prison; a jailer’s mistaken date prompts Shi Jin to escape a day early.
4. Dong Ping fights Song Jiang’s troops, then pursues a false retreat into a concealed rope trap.
5. Song Jiang releases and honors Dong Ping, who changes sides and opens Dongping’s gates to the attackers.
6. The victors free Shi Jin, seize supplies, and kill two households before Bai Sheng’s news sends Song Jiang toward Dongchang.
