Wat er gebeurt

1. Abbot Zhizhen sends Lu Zhishen toward Master Zhiqing with a letter and four lines of guidance.
2. Elder Liu shelters Zhishen and explains that a mountain bandit forces his daughter into marriage.
3. Zhishen occupies the bridal bed, beats the arriving Zhou Tong, and promises to protect Liu’s household.
4. Li Zhong arrives seeking revenge, recognizes Zhishen, and helps secure Zhou Tong’s oath to abandon the marriage.
5. Disgusted by his hosts’ stinginess, Zhishen binds their attendants, takes valuable vessels, and escapes down the mountain.
6. The bandits abandon pursuit and divide their robbery proceeds, while the hungry Zhishen follows the sound of bells.
