Che cos’è questo libro
What happens to you when you die? And why are you alive at all? Max Heindel recalls the Sphinx, the monster who devours travelers unable to answer her riddle.
The Rosicrucian Mysteries is his short introduction to the teachings of the Rosicrucian Order, a hidden school of the West. Heindel founded the Rosicrucian Fellowship in 1909 to spread them. He writes for readers whose hearts crave religion while their minds ask for proof. You meet three interpenetrating worlds, the bodies a human being wears, the spirit's path through death and rebirth, and advice on raising children.

Punto chiave 1 di 8
A hidden Western school guards a message
Heindel begins with the people behind the teaching. He says a human being is a spirit that unfolds its powers across many lives, guided by exalted beings. In his picture the earth is a school, and each religion is a lesson for pupils at the stage they have reached.
A wave of spiritual awakening, he claims, is always followed by doubt. Around 600 B.C. came Confucius, the Buddha and Pythagoras, and then the skeptics of Greece. In the thirteenth century Christian Rosenkreuz founded the Order of the Rosy Cross, the Mystery school of the West.
Twelve members sit around a thirteenth, the invisible leader. A true pupil never advertises himself or charges for instruction.
He separates occultists, who chase knowledge and risk black magic, from mystics, who follow love and devotion. The Fellowship wants to join knowledge with love so that coming powers are used safely. The book is a message that joins heart and mind, built on love.
That’s 1 of 8 key points.

Heindel says Christian Rosenkreuz, or Christian Rose Cross, is the symbolic name of a spiritual teacher who appeared in central Europe in the thirteenth century and founded the Order of the Rosy Cross, the Mystery school of the West.
What is the Desire World in Rosicrucian teaching?
It is the second of three interpenetrating worlds, made of a fine matter that responds to feeling. Heindel says it is the realm of color where the dead stay after leaving the body and where purgatory and the first heaven lie.

Heindel's message is that life is a school in which each spirit returns many times, reaping what it sows. He asks readers to join love with knowledge, to think claims through for themselves, and to treat every condition as a lesson.
