Shrnutí knihy The Gentleman: Chapter 128

Chapter 128 z 198 · Book 4: Nelson · 3 min. na přečtení kapitoly

In Chapter 128, Kit approaches a frigate with joyful pride, imagining himself as her rescuer, and calls for her to stop so he can deliver dispatches for Nelson. A towering stranger first mocks him, then reacts with sudden shock to Nelson’s name before saying that Nelson is not aboard.

Co se stane

  1. Kit sees the approaching frigate as England itself and imagines a beautiful princess whom he has saved.
  2. He steers the lugger toward the frigate’s bow, turns sharply, and orders Blob to hail her.
  3. Blob announces his name and claims to have killed Nabowlin Bownabaardie.
  4. As the frigate passes, Kit pushes against her side and repeatedly calls for her to stop.
  5. A giant leaning above Kit mocks him, but freezes when Kit announces dispatches for Nelson.
  6. The stranger recovers and tells Kit that Nelson is not aboard.
