Shrnutí The Didache: Chapter 2
Chapter 2 z 16 · Čtení chapter zabere 1 min.
In Chapter 2, the Teaching gives its second commandment through prohibitions against killing, sexual wrongdoing, theft, magic, dishonest speech, and harmful attitudes toward others. It demands that words match actions and replaces hatred with different responses to people: correction, prayer, or love stronger than concern for one's own life.
Co se stane
- The Teaching forbids murder, sexual wrongdoing, theft, magic, abortion, and killing newborns.
- It prohibits coveting another person's possessions, oaths, false testimony, slander, and grudges.
- It warns against divided intentions and contradictory speech, requiring words to be truthful and supported by deeds.
- It rejects greed, hypocrisy, spite, arrogance, and plans to harm a neighbor.
- It forbids hatred and directs the reader to correct some people, pray for others, and love others above personal life.
