In Chapter 63, Song Jiang withdraws to protect Liangshan, captures Guan Sheng through Hu Yanzhuo’s false defection, and wins his allegiance through respectful treatment. The army then renews its attack on Daming, where Wu Yong uses staged retreats and heavy snow to lure Suo Chao into a concealed pit.
