In Chapter 18, Chao Gai and his companions destroy the government force pursuing them, then seek admission to Liangshan Marsh, where Wang Lun tries to send them away. Wu Yong encourages Lin Chong’s anger at this rejection, and Lin Chong kills Wang Lun but refuses the chief’s position offered to him.
