Chapter 13 di 71 · 19 min per leggere: chapter

In Chapter 13, Chao Gai frees Liu Tang by pretending to be his uncle, then hears his proposal to rob a shipment of birthday treasures. Liu Tang’s fight with Lei Heng brings Wu Yong into the affair, and the three men discuss recruiting enough trusted helpers to carry out the robbery.

Cosa succede

  1. Lei Heng arrests a sleeping stranger and brings him to Chao Gai’s estate, where the soldiers receive food and wine.
  2. Chao Gai stages a family reunion to secure the stranger’s release and gives Lei Heng ten taels of silver.
  3. The stranger identifies himself as Liu Tang and proposes stealing the treasures Liang Zhongshu sends for Grand Tutor Cai’s birthday.
  4. Liu Tang pursues Lei Heng to recover the silver, and they fight until Wu Yong intervenes and Chao Gai arrives.
  5. Back at the estate, Chao Gai explains the proposal and describes a dream involving the Big Dipper.
  6. Wu Yong supports the plan, calls for seven or eight capable men, and thinks of possible recruits without naming them.
