Cosa succede

1. Kit returns through the tamarisk into the drain and sees Blob’s lantern in the distance.
2. The light beneath the manhole changes, then disappears, followed by the glow of Blob’s lantern.
3. Light returns at the manhole and reveals a crouching man whom a voice addresses as Toadie.
4. Kit turns toward the entrance, deciding to risk escape outside rather than remain trapped underground.
5. A smiling figure blocks the entrance, recites verse, and asks Kit about Blake.
6. A door slams and wind rushes through the drain; Blob obeys his orders, leaving Kit alone with his pursuer.
