Cosa succede

1. Sir Urre kills Sir Alphegus in a Spanish tournament but receives seven serious wounds.
2. Alphegus’s mother enchants the wounds so they cannot heal until the world’s best knight examines them.
3. Urre’s mother travels with him, his sister Felelolie, and a page for seven years without finding relief.
4. Near Pentecost, they reach Arthur’s court at Carlisle, where Urre’s mother explains his suffering.
5. Arthur offers to attempt the healing first and commands the nobles present to gather in the meadow.
