Cosa succede

1. The fiend describes how the earl’s nephews attack a hermit whose body resists swords and remains unharmed by fire.
2. The fiend departs in a storm, and the good man tells Launcelot that his sin prevents him from seeing the Sangreal.
3. After morning Mass, they bury the hermit, and Launcelot accepts his hair shirt and rules against meat and wine.
4. Launcelot leaves at evensong and meets a gentlewoman who predicts clearer understanding and lodging the following day.
5. Without lodging that night, Launcelot rides to a cross and makes it his resting place.
