Chapter 305 di 503 · 4 min per leggere: chapter

In Chapter 305, Sir Tristram accepts Sir Palamides’s advice to oppose King Arthur, seeking greater honor by facing his strongest knights in the tournament. Wearing green, their company wins repeated victories, while Arthur and his companions try to identify them; Tristram’s fierce assault finally drives the men of Orkney back to Lonazep.

Cosa succede

  1. Palamides advises fighting against Arthur because defeating his distinguished knights offers greater honor, and Tristram agrees.
  2. The company dresses in green, places Isoud at a viewing window, and joins the King of Scots.
  3. Arthur questions Launcelot about the strangers and sends Kay to check which Round Table seats are empty.
  4. Edward and Sadok unhorse two kings, but Palamides immediately knocks both brothers down.
  5. Tristram, Gareth, and Dinadan unhorse opponents, and Tristram helps the fallen kings remount.
  6. Tristram and Palamides fight fiercely, and the men of Orkney withdraw to Lonazep under Tristram’s assault.

Cosa notare

Sir Palamides’s reasoning determines which side the company joins. Strong opponents become an opportunity for honor rather than a reason to avoid combat.
