Black Beauty, 06 Liberty: riassunto
06 Liberty di 49 · 3 min per leggere: chapter
In 06 Liberty, the narrator enjoys kind treatment in his new home but misses the freedom to move and play whenever he chooses. John patiently gives him exercise instead of punishment, while occasional Sunday outings into the paddock or orchard offer release from stable life.
Cosa succede
- The narrator appreciates his comfortable home but contrasts stable confinement with his first three and a half years of freedom.
- When insufficient exercise makes him restless, John responds patiently and lets him trot briskly outside the village.
- The narrator explains that some grooms punish playful horses, while John understands their energy and guides them through voice and reins.
- On fine summer Sundays, the horses sometimes enjoy several hours outdoors, running, rolling, grazing, and talking under a tree.
