The Wind in the Willows – Chapter 2 összefoglaló

Chapter 2 / 12 · 17 perc a fejezet elolvasására

In Chapter 2, Mole and Rat join Toad on a caravan holiday, but a speeding motorcar frightens their horse and wrecks the cart. Rat and Mole bring Toad home, while Toad abandons his enthusiasm for caravanning and orders an expensive motorcar instead.

Mi történik?

  1. Mole asks Rat to introduce him to Toad, whose latest enthusiasm is traveling in a brightly painted caravan.
  2. Rat reluctantly agrees to the trip because Mole is eager, and the three friends set off with a gray horse.
  3. Mole and Rat handle the first morning’s chores, then insist that Toad share the work.
  4. A speeding motorcar frightens the horse, which backs the caravan into a ditch and wrecks it.
  5. Toad admires the motorcar instead of helping, so Rat and Mole organize their return home.
  6. The next evening, Rat reports that Toad orders a large, expensive motorcar.
