The Talisman – Chapter 13 összefoglaló

Chapter 13 / 28 · 13 perc a fejezet elolvasására

In Chapter 13, Sir Kenneth discovers that Queen Berengaria uses Edith's name and ring to lure him from duty, while Edith urgently demands his return. After she lets him keep the ring, he escapes the pavilion and reaches his post to find England's standard missing and Roswal apparently dying.

Mi történik?

  1. Hidden behind a canvas partition, Sir Kenneth overhears the Queen and her attendants discussing their trick.
  2. Edith denies agreeing to a wager and protests that using her name endangers both her reputation and Kenneth.
  3. Berengaria promises protection from Richard, but Edith insists that he does not forgive military offenses.
  4. Nectabanus reveals Kenneth's hiding place, and Edith opens the curtain despite the Queen's objections.
  5. Edith urges Kenneth back to duty, forgives his presumption, and lets him keep her ring.
  6. Kenneth hears Roswal cry out and reaches the mound, where the standard is missing and the wounded hound lies.
