The Gentleman – Chapter 25 összefoglaló

Chapter 25 / 198 · Book 4: Nelson · 4 perc a fejezet elolvasására

In Chapter 25, Kit struggles through a savage boarding fight, rushes to help the Commander, and helps send a carronade crashing into an attacking boat. The defenders clear the decks, but Kit feels sick and exhausted rather than triumphant as the Commander sends him below to check on Mr. Lanyon.

Mi történik?

  1. Kit fights blindly among struggling men, recognizing his own side by their bare bodies.
  2. The Gunner grapples with a boarder, and Kit strikes with his dirk before a heavy body falls on him.
  3. Kit rushes toward the fallen Commander, who frees himself after using his jackknife against his attacker.
  4. The Gunner declares the deck clear, but a warning about attackers entering through portholes sends him below.
  5. Kit and the dying cook push a carronade over the side, smashing another attacking boat.
  6. The Commander sends Kit below, where the Gunner oversees the removal of the last French corpse.
