Peter Pan – Chapter 9-tiivistelmä

Chapter 9 / 17 · chapter lukemiseen 5 min

In Chapter 9, the Never bird brings her floating nest to Peter as the rising water threatens him, despite their inability to understand each other. Peter saves her eggs in Starkey’s hat, sails ashore in the nest, and returns to an excited household where Wendy insists on bedtime.

Mitä tapahtuu

  1. Alone above the rising water, Peter notices what looks like paper struggling against the tide.
  2. The Never bird tries to offer her nest, but their different languages lead to angry exchanges.
  3. The bird pushes the nest against the rock and flies up, allowing Peter to understand her purpose.
  4. Peter floats the eggs in Starkey’s waterproof hat and turns the nest into a boat using his shirt as a sail.
  5. Peter returns home almost alongside Wendy, who sends the excited boys to bed and gives everyone bandages the next day.
