Journey to the West, Chapter 2 yhteenveto

Chapter 2 / 100 · 25 min luvun lukemiseen

In Chapter 2, Sun Wukong receives secret teachings on long life, masters transformations and cloud travel, and loses his place with the Patriarch after displaying his powers. He returns home, kills the Demon King of Havoc, rescues captured monkeys, and celebrates with his clan, which adopts his surname.

Mitä tapahtuu

  1. After years of service, Wukong rejects teachings that cannot grant lasting life and decodes the Patriarch’s invitation to a secret lesson.
  2. The Patriarch teaches him longevity, seventy-two transformations to evade heavenly calamities, and the somersault cloud.
  3. Wukong displays a transformation for fellow disciples, and the Patriarch dismisses him, forbidding him to name his teacher.
  4. At Flower-Fruit Mountain, Wukong learns that the Demon King of Havoc steals goods and captures monkeys.
  5. Wukong creates fighting monkeys from his hairs, kills the demon with his own sword, frees the captives, and burns his cave.
  6. He carries the rescued monkeys home by magic, recounts his training, and shares his surname with the celebrating clan.
