About Wenceslau de Moraes
Wenceslau de Moraes was a Portuguese writer and naval officer, born in Lisbon in 1854. He lived in Macau before moving to Japan in 1898. He wrote books and essays about China and Japan. In 1913 he settled in Tokushima, Japan, where he lived until his death in 1929.
