How the tools work
Are the tools free?
Yes. Every tool is free and answers at once: no sign-up, no email.
Is it a real translation?
The Shakespeare translator swaps everyday words for the ones used around 1600 and adds the old verb endings: a playful imitation of his style, not a line from the plays. The Old English translator renders words and short phrases with simple grammar, good for names, greetings and mottos.
Where do the insults come from?
From three lists of words Shakespeare used, two describing words and a noun, joined the way his characters joined them.
