About this book

What does loyalty cost on a frontier where survival depends on others and the land offers no mercy?

In The Watchers of the Plains, Ridgwell Cullum sets a Western adventure against the wide grasslands of the Dakota frontier. The country is open, harsh and unforgiving. Here, people depend on one another, and the need to stay alive puts the bonds between them under pressure.

Travel, pursuit and confrontation keep the story moving. Bold heroes and clear-cut villains inhabit a world of rough justice and few laws, where the plains shape every choice. Cullum brings the frontier into broad, vivid focus, inviting you into an old-fashioned adventure built around danger, loyalty and endurance.
