In Testament of Solomon
In Testament of Solomon, Ornias takes the ring to Beelzeboul, who holds kingship over the demons. Ornias throws the ring at his chest and tells him that Solomon calls him. Beelzeboul cries out, sends out a great burning flame, and follows Ornias to Solomon.
Before Solomon, Beelzeboul identifies himself as the demons' exarch and says their chief seats are close to him. He also says that he makes the apparition of each demon become manifest. Solomon later summons him again and places him on a raised seat of honour.
In Matthew
In Matthew, the Pharisees claim that a man forces out demons through Beelzebul's power. The speaker challenges this claim by asking who helps their children force out demons.
