Was geschieht

3. Nozdrev confidently supports accusations of spying, forgery, and an abduction scheme, leaving the officials no wiser.
4. After three days indoors with a chill, Chichikov visits his acquaintances and finds rejection or embarrassed conversation.
5. Nozdrev tells Chichikov about the accusations and the Public Prosecutor’s death, then offers help with the supposed abduction.
6. Chichikov orders Selifan to prepare an early departure and packs his belongings with Petrushka’s help.
