About Pierre-Simon Laplace
Pierre-Simon Laplace was a French mathematician and astronomer. He was born in Beaumont-en-Auge, Normandy, in 1749 and died in Paris in 1827. He worked in Paris and wrote on mathematics, astronomy, and probability. His works include Celestial Mechanics, published from 1799 to 1825, and A Philosophical Essay on Probabilities, published in 1814.
