Curiosity sends Alice tumbling down the rabbit hole
The story opens on a riverbank. Alice sits beside her sister, bored, because her sister's book has no pictures or conversations in it. Then a White Rabbit with pink eyes hurries past, muttering that he will be late.
A talking rabbit does not shock her. A rabbit with a waistcoat pocket and a watch does. Burning with curiosity, Alice follows him into a large hole under the hedge, without once asking how she will get out again.
The fall is strange. The well is lined with cupboards, bookshelves and maps, and Alice lifts a jar labeled orange marmalade, only to find it empty. She lands unhurt and finds a little door only fifteen inches high. Beyond it lies the loveliest garden she has ever seen, but she is far too big to get through.
Then come the bottle and the cake. Alice drinks and shrinks to ten inches tall, and only then remembers that she left the key on the table above her reach. Every cure in Wonderland comes with a new problem.
Curiosity opens the door to Wonderland, and Alice walks through it before she has any plan.
That’s 1 of 9 key points.
