In Chapter 128, Kit approaches a frigate with joyful pride, imagining himself as her rescuer, and calls for her to stop so he can deliver dispatches for Nelson. A towering stranger first mocks him, then reacts with sudden shock to Nelson’s name before saying that Nelson is not aboard.
Hvad sker der?
- Kit sees the approaching frigate as England itself and imagines a beautiful princess whom he has saved.
- He steers the lugger toward the frigate’s bow, turns sharply, and orders Blob to hail her.
- Blob announces his name and claims to have killed Nabowlin Bownabaardie.
- As the frigate passes, Kit pushes against her side and repeatedly calls for her to stop.
- A giant leaning above Kit mocks him, but freezes when Kit announces dispatches for Nelson.
- The stranger recovers and tells Kit that Nelson is not aboard.
