In Chapter 191, Sir Tristram defeats Sir Nabon, kills his son, and offers the island to Sir Lamorak, who refuses it. Sir Segwarides receives the lordship and frees the prisoners, while his report in Cornwall brings La Beale Isoud distress over Tristram’s marriage to Isoud La Blanche Mains.
Hvad sker der?
- Sir Nabon gathers the island’s people and five hundred knights for jousting on the day his son is to receive knighthood.
- Sir Lamorak unhorses nearly every knight, but Nabon kills his horse and fights him until exhaustion forces him back.
- Sir Tristram chooses to fight on foot, kills Nabon after a long struggle, and beheads Nabon’s son.
- The people offer submission to Tristram, but he and Lamorak both refuse lordship, so Segwarides receives it.
- Segwarides frees the prisoners, establishes good government, and returns to Cornwall to report the knights’ deeds.
- La Beale Isoud grieves when she hears of Tristram’s marriage to Isoud La Blanche Mains.
