Hvad sker der?

1. The narrator describes Richard I’s absence, the nobles’ growing power, and the continuing division between Normans and Saxons.
2. In a forest clearing, Gurth tries to gather his pigs while Wamba refuses to muddy his fine clothes helping.
3. Wamba contrasts Saxon names for living animals with French names for their meat to explain who works and who benefits.
4. Gurth praises Cedric’s resistance to oppression, and Wamba warns that powerful Normans could punish such talk with hanging.
5. They hear approaching horses, but Gurth urges Wamba home before the storm, and both leave with the herd.
