What happens
- After killing Pinabello, Bradamante meets Astolfo, returns to Montalbano, and sends Ippalca toward Ruggiero with Frontino, which Rodomonte seizes.
- Gabrina steals Pinabello’s belt and uses it to accuse Zerbin, whom Count Anselmo condemns without further investigation.
- Orlando rescues Zerbin and reunites him with Issabella, whose presence first makes Zerbin mistakenly suspect Orlando loves her.
- Mandricardo challenges Orlando, but their fight breaks off when Mandricardo’s unbridled horse carries him away.
- Searching for Mandricardo, Orlando finds the lovers’ inscriptions and hears a shepherd confirm Angelica’s marriage to Medoro.
- Orlando destroys the inscribed surroundings, lies without food or sleep for three days, then strips and uproots trees in madness.
