Homer: resumen de Chapter 4

Chapter 4 de 26 · 21 min para leer el chapter

In Chapter 4, the Greeks and Trojans clash after the broken truce, and Diomed dominates the fighting with Minerva’s help, even wounding Venus and Mars. Amid the violence, ancestral hospitality prevents his fight with Glaucus, while Hector’s farewell to Andromache exposes the family suffering bound up with military honor.

Qué sucede

  1. The armies clash, and individual warriors kill opponents while both sides struggle to capture bodies and armor.
  2. Minerva restores the wounded Diomed, who kills Pandarus, wounds Æneas, and attacks Venus as she protects her son.
  3. Apollo saves Æneas; Minerva helps Diomed wound Mars, driving the War-god away from battle.
  4. Diomed and Glaucus discover inherited ties of hospitality, abandon their duel, and exchange armor.
  5. Hector enters Troy, arranges prayers through Hecuba, and rebukes Paris for remaining away from combat.
  6. Andromache begs Hector to protect his life; he comforts his family but returns to battle with Paris.
