Qué sucede

1. Bathsheba hides among ferns overnight, then watches animals and passing boys as daylight exposes a nearby swamp.
2. Liddy finds Bathsheba nearly voiceless, brings food and clothing, and checks whether Fanny’s body has left the house.
3. Bathsheba decides against leaving her husband and returns secretly with Liddy after the body is carried away.
4. She chooses an unused attic as her refuge and asks Liddy to furnish it and bring books.
5. Troy leaves them undisturbed, while Bathsheba spends the day reading intermittently and watching outside.
6. Village players abandon their game to inspect a tombstone being erected, but Liddy does not know whose it is.
