Qué sucede

1. The Hellenes reach the Chalybes, whose livelihood depends mainly on ironworking, and then enter Tibarenian territory.
2. The generals seek plunder, but unfavorable sacrifices stop an attack, and they accept Tibarenian hospitality instead.
3. At Cotyora, the army holds religious celebrations and contests, but obtains provisions forcibly after the city refuses a market.
4. Hecatonymus protests on Sinope’s behalf and threatens an alliance with Corylas and the Paphlagonians.
5. Xenophon defends taking supplies and sheltering the sick, then warns that the army can also seek a Paphlagonian alliance.
6. The other ambassadors reject a hostile approach, the Cotyorites send gifts, and the generals entertain the visitors.
